My 2020 Photography Session Bucket List - Kitchener-Waterloo Photography

2020 is already here! The start of the new year is a great time to take a moment to reflect on the year that’s gone by and set goals for the year ahead. I’ve got lots of exciting things planned for this year, photography-wise, and I can’t wait to share them with you.

One thing I decided to do for this year was make a photo session bucket list. It’s a list of photo sessions that I would love to shoot this year. I’m looking for just the right clients to help me bring these creative dreams to life!

Here’s what’s on my 2020 photography bucket list:

1. A session, possibly in black and white, documenting someone getting a meaningful tattoo.

Are you planning a tattoo with a lot of personal meaning? I’m looking for someone who wants to document the experience of creating their tattoo. I’d love this person to share a great story behind the design they’ve chosen. Maybe they’ll bring a friend or family member with them to share the experience. Is this you? Reach out and let me know!

2. A fun family baking session in a bright and open kitchen with an island.

I’m hoping for a family that doesn’t mind getting messy during this session! Do you love to bake together? Are you okay with your kids throwing some flour around? Is your kitchen bright and beautiful, with an island in the middle where you can work? Get in touch with me!

3. A fashion or business shoot with a retro film vibe.

I’d like to work with a designer or business that sells clothing or accessories, and create some images with a throwback shot-on-film feel to them. We can work somewhere natural, or somewhere with a more urban feel. Does this sound like the right vibe for you? Let’s chat!

4. A lifestyle newborn session in a minimalist/modern nursery.

Having a baby in the coming year? Does your nursery look like it came right off of Pinterest, or straight from the pages of a magazine? I’m looking for a family with a light and bright nursery, with neutral and natural colours, and a big, bright window. Oh, and a newborn (up to one month old)! If that describes you, I’d love to hear from you!

5. A florist or other creative maker in a light and bright studio.

Do you work with bright and colourful materials? For this session I’m looking for someone who does something colourful and creative. A florist, an artist, a creative maker…someone whose space is white or neutral and whose materials are really colourful. Does your business fit the bill? Let me know!

6. A multi-generational family session sharing a family trade or craft.

In this session I’d like to document an older family member passing down some tradition and knowledge to a younger generation, or hopefully two generations! I’d like it to feature a trade or craft with some specific materials or tools, something that we can document visually, with older hands teaching younger hands the way. Does your family sound perfect for this? I want to hear from you!

7. A vintage travel dress-up session with kids.

This one might take some planning and searching in terms of costumes, but if you’re game, I’m in! I’m feeling inspired by the 1920s-1940s, so if you’re into that vintage and want some dreamy images of your kids, this could be the session for you. This session will take place on-location, and will be more classic than cutesy. (They will be plenty cute! I’m thinking more dreamy than Halloween costume-y though.) Sound like just your thing? Let’s talk!

And now for the fine print: if you are interested in a session on my 2020 photography bucket list, you may be eligible for a discount on your session fee and print/digital products! I’ve got one offer set aside for each session, so if there’s one that you think suits you perfectly, reach out and let’s talk!

Wishing you all the best in 2020!
